Last weekend, East Kent Newfrontiers Churches gathered together for 3 days of teaching and fellowship at Jubilee Farm in Kent. This is how the weekend went:
Friday 11th:
3:00 People start to arrive at the campsite, tents going up quickly in sight of possible impending rain. The first meeting is at 7:30 so dinner on the campsite's first, then all off to the meeting tent for worship and teaching.
Julian Adams opens the weekend by bringing us a powerful message about becoming closer with the Holy Spirit (to watch/listen click here) as well as bringing prophecy for indivduals.
After the meeting people migrate to the cafe for drinks and cakes, lovingly made by City Church members. After an evening of open mic featuring songs about Love, Truth and well erm... the Iclandic Volcano Disaster, it's definitely time for bed; almost made the curfew.
Saturday 12th:
Up bright and early for the first meeting of the day, with worship and a talk by Dave Holden on The Centrality of Worship. A short break, then another meeting with another blessed 30 mins from Dave on Genesis 12. (Videos and Audio Avaliable here)
The afternoon was filled with Football Tournaments, Praise Parties, Ladies Happy Hour in the Cafe (to escape the football) and plenty of sitting out in the warm if not slightly breezy 'summer' weather. All in all, a good afternoon.

In the evening we gathered to hear a word brought by Tom Shaw - guidance on how to live a lifestyle of listening (For Audio and Video click here)
Of course we couldn't let the Guys (and Girls) miss the football so it was all to the freezing meeting tent for a big screen football frenzy.
Sunday 13th:
Graham Hall finishes off the weekend with a talk on Focusing on Jesus (AudioVideo here), equipping us to go out into our communities and make a difference in the place that God has planted us.
The afternoon was then taken up by eating the last of the cakes in the cafe and packing up the tents with the thought of a warm shower and soft place to sleep becoming the motivation for the swift packing of the car; there are upsides to being a day visitor!
So COTF is over for its second year, and what a weekend it was.
