Auction of Promises Out-Bids Itself

The 'Auction of Promises' held at the Abbey School last week was a roaring success, with a book full of auction lots and a hall full of eager bidders the auction raised over £1900 for the youth mission trip to Portugal.

The cake stall, as new stall and silent auction helped towards the evenings success and a few tummies went home full with the delights laid out for the bidders, including a giant cupcake. The evening was tied together with great music and wonderful presenting by Neil, Sam and Simon.

Organised by Neil and Emma Wallace, Lou Funnel and the youth team, what a supreme effort by all and thank you to all who contributed, the evening was a roaring success.

This March we want to take an even bigger team to the Everything Conference in London. A one day conference with seminars on 'Arts and Culture' 'Community' 'Government and Politics' 'Mind' and 'Work and Business'. Last year we had a great time meeting with like minded people from all over the country and discussing the issues around the church and out areas of interest.
